1. Paul Huggins
2. BJ Fesselmeyer
3. Aaron Nichols
4. Gabor Kucsera
5. Jim Terchila

BJ won all four heats, but Paul Huggins got around him in the main.  BJ has won 14 of 15 heats/mains that he has been in.

Thanks Jim,

Just a suggestion!
Why not go with a championship style event? All the heats have equal value, each rider  races 4 times. High points wins and so forth. Divide the purse by the total points earned by all riders that night-- take that number and multiply it by the points each rider earned, this will determine each riders winnings. This is the fair way to do it for all the riders. The rider with the best overall performance for the night is the winner, and all the other riders get paid for their efforts also. If the payout doesn't seem fair then give the top three riders bonus points. Since we are living in a back gate environment and in order to increase revenue you need more riders, then treat all the riders fair. It's not about spectators anymore, the riders are all of equal importance as far as creating revenue for the track. A top rider like Joe Garrison brings in no more than Joe Blow from Valpo. There are a lot more Joe Blows than Joe Garrisons out there to fill the line up, to make the event successful for all concerned. The argument about this kind of format has been that it is not as easy for new fans to follow. Since we are currently living in a back gate environment, it's not about the fans, it's about the RIDERS and their supporters. Treat all the riders fair, reward all the riders for their efforts, and they will come.
