Lincoln Park Speedway, Putnamville, IN
Weather conditions improved, more riders competed,
and a few more fans were on hand. Let me say that as a speedway track Lincoln
Park is no Shangri-La. A few of the riders that came to ride for the first
time were a little disappointed at first. After a few heats races, it hits you
that this facility has a lot of potential. Everything runs so smoothly, and
everyone is working together for the first time in a long while. All of a
sudden you realize that the track is real ride able, it just takes a lot of
effort, you better be in shape if you want to ride hard all four laps of a
race. By the end of the night you have had so much fun in the last two hours,
you realize this place might not currently be Shangri-La, but it might be the
road to it. Thanks to all the track personal and officials for your efforts.
With a real speedway track surface (which is right next door ) we'll have a
real show and bring fans back to the races.
